When did you dream the life you live?

Doing a job we love and loving doing it, that’s a dream life scenario for most of us. Barriers that we set to prevent us from this dream-life are sometimes reasonable, sometimes just not; it’s there to feel comfortable. Comfortable not to carry on our choices. Because making choices and acting accordingly is making us uncomfortable sometimes, and it may be painful in some extent. Doing things because we always have done them is comfortable, and we don’t like to change. Rat race life is also comfortable. We complain and we don’t make the step change to stop it. Is it because these habits make us feel part of a community? admired by others, having the same life? It’s our choice. Being free is not always comfortable… And at the same time, doing what we love doing, is making us fulfilled. We don’t feel « working » anyway. We live in line with what makes sense to our life. Why is it so difficult to let us dream our life? 

I read this in the Metro : « Humans have two lives. The second life, starts when we get the awareness this one is the only one. » Confucius.

Et si nous autorisions le rêve à entrer dans notre vie? 

Faire le travail que l’on aime et aimer ce que l’on fait reste un rêve pour beaucoup. Nous avons souvent davantage de marges de manoeuvre et de choix que nous ne nous autorisons à penser. Faire d’autres choix c’est aussi parfois moins confortable, nous pouvons perdre certaines habitudes qui rythment notre vie en automatique. Nous pouvons perdre parfois l’admiration ou la compréhension de certaines personnes que nous estimons. Vivre ce rêve de travailler en plein accord avec qui nous sommes, c’est se rendre compte que nous ne travaillons plus lorsqu’il en est ainsi; nous nourrissons pleinement le sens de notre vie. Et si nous autorisions le rêve à entrer dans notre vie?

Une citation lue dans le Metro m’a inspiré cet article:

« Nous avons deux vie. La seconde commence le jour où nous prenons pleinement conscience que nous n’en avons qu’une » Confucius.
